Nox In The Forest

Nox walked between two trees and looked out to see the shadow of Castle Probos.

"I'm so close."

He pulled out his sword and used it as a climbing tool as he climbed to the top of a large oak tree. He sat down and stared at the castle, remembering his past.

Being his usual steathly self, Huyei popped out in the tree next to Nox out of nowhere.

"Fantasizing agian?" He asked his friend. "You cannot hope to return our King to the thrown by simply dreaming of it." He added, being as straight forward as he is.

Nox smiled.

"Hm. You are right my friend. Yutake is a strong enemy. It will take much to defeat him and his army of the dead. Our only hope is the sword."

Nox said nothing more of this, knowing he had said far too much as it is. He sensed the beings around him, and knew they were not alone.

"Tell me, why do you think the Dark Prince would fuse with such an impure soul. Even though the Dark Prince is evil, he is not stupid. He could have chosen anyone, a stronger mortal, with more will power, but he chose Yutake, a greedy man with no soul."

Huyei put his puzzled face on.
"Hmm...good question. Perhaps it wasn't about the physical strength of the Yutake that the Dark Prince wanted. Maybe it was his hatred, jealousy, and escpecially his Yutake's weak mind and foolishness. But you and I both know now is not the time to wonder, but to act. We BOTH have jobs to do."

Huyei smirked; the only thing close to a smile or a laugh he's done in years.
