Rumor: Senninriki, Strength of a Thousand Men « Thread Started on Jul 16, 2004, 1:03am »
It is said that long ago a Ronin, or lordless samurai named Katsuteyuma collected a drop of blood from every man he killed. After he killed one thousand men, he took all of the blood that he had collected and poured it into the molten material that he used to forge the blade of a sword with. He forged the blade of the sword in pure silver. The hilt was made of ruby wood, a special extra strong red wood with microscopic ruby fragments in it. There was an enscription in gold on the hilt of the sword. It read: "This sword has the strength of a thousand men." Katsuteyuma also added a jewel surrounded by a gold crest at the end. The jewel was a rare "black jewel" which is said to hold mystical powers. Katsuteyuma named the sword Senninriki, or Strength of a Thousand Men. Some say that the black jewel can give the user of the sword the powers of the men who's blood is in the sword. Yet none know, for Katsuteyuma disappeared after he forged his sword. People have gone looking for his sword, but none can find it. There have been reports of a sword that fits this description of Senninriki. Some have said to have seen it stuck in the back of a tree demon. Dark Lord Yutake is offering a special magic ability and a special weapon for a reward for whoever can find and bring him the sword. Another man, who wishes to remain annyonomous, is offering the same.
